Vaughn Worthen

Vaughn Worthen, Ph.D. received his Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from the University of Kansas. He began his employment at BYU in 1991. He is a Clinical Professor of Counseling Psychology and a licensed psychologist. He served as the Manager of University Career Services from 2008 to 2014. He was Associate Director of the Counseling Career Center from 2005 to 2014. He currently holds a joint appointment in the Counseling and Psychological Services and in Counseling Psychology and Special Education. His research interests include Positive Psychology and it's clinical applications and associations with therapy outcomes, compassion focused therapy, and clinical supervision issues. He is the married to Anita Worthen and they are the parents of 4 boys and the grandparents to 6 granddaughters and 2 grandsons.
