Biography
Justin Scott Giboney is an Associate Professor of Information Technology & Cybersecurity at Brigham Young University. He received his Ph.D. in Management Information Systems from the University of Arizona, and an M.S. and B.S. in Information Systems from Brigham Young University. His research focuses on information security, deception detection, and knowledge-based systems. Justin has been an investigator on eight grants totaling $948,216 on security and forensics-related technologies and education. He has published 38 articles related to information security, deception detection, and decision support. His work has led to a better understanding of how security experts store knowledge, make decisions, and interact with technology. His research has been published in top outlets including, MIS Quarterly, Computers & Security, Decision Support Systems, and Computers in Human Behavior.
