Biography
Daniel Barney received a PhD in Curriculum Studies from the University of British Columbia. He currently teaches at Brigham Young University where his courses include Theory and Methods at the Foundation Level, Curriculum Theory and Development, Qualitative Research Strategies, and Issues in Contemporary Art. Barney was a high school art teacher for eleven years. Starting out as a printmaker, he soon turned to other media such as glass, photography, painting, fibers, as well as creating public engagements and interventions as artistic and pedagogic events. He has exhibited this artistic work throughout North America. He has won several regional and national awards for teaching and he serves on multiple editorial review boards for scholarly publications.
