Biography
An Associate Professor in the School of Communications, Chris Cutri's creative works revolve around the making of documentaries, commercials, and short films. His film projects are inspired by current social issues. His work has also examined various aspects of the sociology of sport, particularly around the cultures of surfing and extreme sports. His films have played at various festivals and venues around the world. A native from Southern California, Chris received his BA from Brigham Young University and an MFA in Film Directing from the ArtCenter College of Design, in Pasadena, CA. He is married to Dr. Ramona Cutri and they are the proud parents of four children.
Research Interests
Creating narratives and documentaries highlighting social issues in a poetic way. Looking at how personal projects can be a catalyst for ones portfolio and creative thinking. Examining creative methods and techniques to increase ones creative productivity.Teaching Interests
